Geotechnical consultant for the redevelopment of a multi-story mixed use residential and retail complex with one level of below-grade parking. Project is aimed to improve the site of a previously abandoned, partially constructed hi-rise project from the 1980s which had two basement levels and partially constructed foundations and walls. Known locally as “the hole in the ground”, the new developers will restore the site with backfill and work with an existing lateral support system installed in the 1980s. Some of the existing parking structure and perimeter walls will be retained and incorporated into the new construction.
